Nigerian international player, Oluwatosin Demehin has officially signed with Galatasaray Women’s FC on a free transfer, following her departure from French side Stade de Reims.
The 22 year-old defender spent two seasons at Reims and made 26 league appearances.
She contributed to the team’s 6th and 4th place finishes in her first and second seasons, respectively.
Her efforts also helped Reims qualify for the UEFA Women’s Champions League playoffs.
Oluwatosin Demehin made her debut for Galatasaray in a UEFA Women’s Champions League match against Slavia Prague, coming off the bench in the 37th minute after an injury to midfielder Ecem Cümert.
The game ended in a 2-2 draw after Galatasaray took an initial 2-0 lead through Andrea Stašková’s goals but conceded two late goals.
The return leg will be held on September 25 at Slavia Prague’s Fortuna Arena.
Demehin’s move to Galatasaray follows in the footsteps of Victor Osimhen, who recently joined the men’s team.
