Super Falcons Back At Work for Clash with Lioness

Nigeria WNT, the Super Falcons, have began preparations for their 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup round of 16 clash against England.

The Super Falcons took few days off training, embarking on recovery activities after sealing qualification for the knockout phase of the tournament.

 

On, Thursday, the Nigerian team returned to full training at Lions FC in Brisbane ahead of last 16 clash.​

England vs Nigeria is an interesting fixture, with both sides unbeaten in the tournament so far.

Also both teams have a history of previous meetings, with Nigeria winning two out of three encounters.

The Falcons, being one of the countries that have attended every Women’s World Cup since 1991, are looking forward to the match in Brisbane with high optimism.​

It’s great to hear that there are currently no injury concerns, and the team had some time off for recovery and sightseeing before getting back to football business.

The match will take place, Monday, at the Suncorp Stadium and kick-off is 8:30am Nigerian time.
