Forward, Asisat Oshoala scored the penalty in Bay FC’s 1-0 win over Seattle Reign, taking her season tally to six goals in 21 NWSL games.
The Super Falcons striker calmly converted from the spot in the 27th minute, wrong-footing the Reign goalkeeper to secure the win for her team.
Ahead of the match, Oshoala changed her hairstyle from pink to blue, following the example of her national teammate Rasheedat Ajibade.
Speaking on her penalty-taking approach, Oshoala shared, “To be honest, I just go to look at the goalkeeper’s move before taking the shot. She doesn’t have to think for me.”
“We know how important the game is. We had to be cautious as a team and try to go out to get at the end of every opportunity we had. The game plan is to keep attacking.”
The victory puts Bay FC in eighth place, occupying the last playoff spot in the NWSL.
