Why Super Eagles will train Just once – Patrick Pascal

The Super Eagles will have just one training session on Wednesday because the Coaches don’t want to tire them out before match day according to team coordinator, Patrick Pascal.

Nigeria will face Poland on Friday in an international friendly – the first two matches in March – as part of the build up to the World Cup in the summer.

Speaking in an telephone interview with Brila.net, Pascal informed that the team will train just once.

He said the players have been active at their various clubs leading to the invitation for the friendlies, so they don’t need much physical activity.

‘At 3:30pm there’ll be a training session; the only one for the day.

‘Our players are active in their teams on a weekly basis. They know the importance of this match and they have been professionals.’

Pascal also gave an update on the number of players in camp – as at Wednesday morning.

‘Iheanacho, Musa and Uche Agbo came in Yesterday. Late in the night Moses came in, but we’re still expecting Ezenwa. We trained yesterday and it was good. They players aren’t bothered about the cold at all.

‘There’s been visas issues with Mikel (work permit), some players as well. Hopefully, the government can do something about it and help speed up the process subsequently, it’ll go a long way,’ the team coordinator explained.
