Super Eagles Will Play Attractive Football- Finidi

As the Super Eagles gear up for crucial 2026 World Cup qualifying matches in June, head coach Finidi George has urged fans to continue supporting the team.

Finidi promised fans that the team would strive to qualify for both the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and the 2026 World Cup while playing attractive football and winning convincingly.

Over the years, the Super Eagles have lost their reputation for playing beautiful football, which has generated concerns among fans.

However, the new coach has assured fans that the team will work to regain their stylish play and urged them to keep supporting the squad.

Finidi assured Nigerians that efforts are underway to build a stronger team, even better than the one that finished as runners-up in AFCON 2023.

“By the time we get to the AFCON or World Cup proper, we will build a stronger team, that is even stronger than the team that played the last AFCON. It is a work in progress,” the Super Eagles coach told Brila.net.

“It’s bit by bit. Those who can add value will definitely come on board to see how they can help us,” he added.
