Super Eagles hopeful Cyriel Dessers scored his 14th goal of the league season with a spectacular strike to guide Heracles to a shock 1-0 win over league leaders Ajax at the Erve Asito on Sunday.
Dessers struck an unstoppable volley from the edge of the box picking up an assist from the Heracles goalkeeper, leaving Cameroon shot stopper Andre Onana rooted.
The 25-year-old could suit up for Nigeria next month in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tie against Sierra Leone.
Dessers, who was born in Leuven, Belgium and is also eligible to play for either the Red Devils or Super Eagles, but has opted for the latter.
Sunday’s goal was the Striker’s 17th in 26 appearances across all competitions this term and it helped the club get back to winning ways following last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to Venlo.
