Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi agrees terms with OGC Nice

FC Lorient and OGC Nice are holding talks for the transfer of Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi.

According to L’Équipe, OGC Nice submitted €15m bid for the striker, but it was rejected by FC Lorient.

Nice have since returned with an improved bid, and talks are ongoing with agreement expected to reached soon.

Lorient are holding up for a fee €25m for the striker they signed from Kortrijk for just €8.2m three years ago.

L’Équipe, also claimed Premier League sides Southampton and West Ham are giving up hope of landing the striker, despite, the Les Merlus rejecting their initial offers.

Lorient are keen to cash in on the forward whose contract will expire at the end of next season and the player want to continue his development in France, rather than move abroad.

It was claimed that Moffi already agreed personal terms with Nice on New Year’s Eve.

Nigerian forward Moffi has enjoyed a productive first half of the Ligue 1 season, scoring 11 goals, one behind Ligue one leading scorer Kylian Mbappé.

Les Merlus are now looking for a possible replacement.
