Brila.net can authoritatively report that players who were part of the Super Eagles squad to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, have been paid their entitlements.
It is understood that the players shared 30 percent of the $2m Nigeria received from finishing third at the tournament.
The money was disbursed through Financial Derivatives, a renowned accounting firm and the players and coaches reportedly shared the sum of $600,000.
However, it is unclear if the players got the same amount as the coaching crew led by Gernot Rohr.
The players are still expected to be paid $5,000 each for beating the Benin Republic, with the coach getting $10,000 and others, including backroom staff, paid theirs based on their grades in the squad.
The Super Eagles are expected to take on the Crocodiles of Lesotho for their second game of the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers inside the Setsoto Stadium, Maseru on Sunday.
