With their spot at the 2025 AFCON in Morocco already secured, Super Eagles Team Coordinator Patrick Pascal has assured fans that the team won’t ease up in their final qualifier against Rwanda.

The three-time African champions secured their qualification even before their recent 1-1 draw with Benin Republic on Thursday.

However, Pascal emphasized in an interview with Brila.net that the team is fully committed to finishing strong, keeping an eye on their FIFA ranking as well.

“We’ve qualified, and we are happy about that,” Pascal stated. “But I can tell you we are coming all out. We won’t relax because we’ve qualified. We have our name, the image of the country and players to protect so we won’t relax a bit.”

“We will even go all out than even the other matches that we’ve played. Also we also talking about our ranking, we cannot underrate any country and we are ready to face Rwanda at 100%.”

Addressing concerns about Rwanda’s early arrival in Kigali and whether it poses a threat, Pascal says the team is unfazed.

“When we returned from Abidjan, we heard that Rwanda had already arrived and were waiting for us.

“Football is unpredictable, but our confidence is intact. We’ve qualified before even playing Benin, but as a nation, we don’t give up easily.”

Pascal’s comments also come on the heels of Gernot Rohr’s remarks ahead of Benin Republic’s crucial match against Libya.

“We’ve got to avoid defeat against Libya, but you don’t play for a draw.

“We’ll use the confidence from today to prosecute the game in Benghazi. Hopefully, the Super Eagles will beat Rwanda in Uyo.”
