Wilfred Ndidi has expressed confidence in the Super Eagles’ readiness for their upcoming African Cup of Nations qualifiers against the Benin Republic, set for early next month.

The midfielder, who plays for Leicester City, assured fans that the Super Eagles are determined to avenge their recent 2-1 defeat to Benin Republic, during the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

“We know we haven’t done as well as we wanted in the World Cup qualifiers, but we’re ready to make things right in Uyo,” Ndidi said in a video posted on the Super Eagles’ official X account.

“They [Benin] had their win in Abidjan, but we’ll see what happens in Uyo. Don’t worry; we’re prepared.”

The Super Eagles will face Benin Republic in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, on September 7.

Following this fixture, the team will travel to Rwanda for their second qualifying game.
