Nigeria’s MNT, the Super Eagles, are the most valuable national team in Africa, despite recent poor showing.
The three-time African Champions are also the 14th most expensive national team in the world.
According to Transfermarket, the Super Eagles squad is more expensive than Morocco, Ivory Coast, Ghana and African champions Senegal.
Jose Peseiro’s squad is valued at €339m, while Morocco with stars like Achraff Hakimi, Sofian Amrabat and Hakim Ziyech are valued at €307m.
Cote d’Ivoire has a market value of €351m, €10m and €20m more than Ghana and Senegal respectively.
Algeria (€185m), Mali (€152m), Cameroon (€127m), Egypt (€112m), DR Congo (€96m) completes the top ten.
