Sadiq Umar says Super Eagles are motivated to secure a spot in the upcoming FIFA World Cup in 2026.
The journey for Super Eagles begin with a home tie against the Crocodiles at the Nest of Champions this Thursday.
Following the opening match, the three-time African Champions will engage in encounter against the Warriors in Rwanda just four days later.
The Super Eagles camp for both encounters officially opened on Monday, with Sadiq, Kenneth Omeruo and Jamilu Collins the first players to arrive.
“Whenever I’m here to play for the Eagles, I’m always motivated toplay for the country and I think when other players also come it isthe same. We will be ready for the game.” Sadiq after arriving the team’s camp on Monday.
The Real Sociedad forward stated that, he’s happy to return to the squad again, regardless of playing time.
“Whenever we are here in the team, we are always happy to represent the country whether you start, you have some minutes or you are on the bench. Always ready to keep supporting the Eagles and we hope to come out with a good result.” He concluded.
