Nigerian midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru is set to join Serie A club Lazio on loan for the 2024–25 season, according to Sky Sports Italia.

The move comes after an agreement between Lazio and Turkish club Hatayspor on the transfer terms.

Lazio will initially pay a loan fee of €2 million for Dele-Bashiru, with an additional €4 million to be paid when the transfer becomes permanent next summer.

The 23-year-old midfielder only joined Hatayspor last summer on a free transfer, following a three-year stint at Sheffield Wednesday.

During the 2023–24 season, Dele-Bashiru made 39 appearances for Hatayspor, scoring nine goals and providing six assists.

He has also earned two senior caps for Nigeria, scoring one goal.
