Jose Peseiro says the Super Eagles is blessed with good players, adding that the team is always in good situation, despite recent setback.
The Portuguese gaffer took over the Nigerian side after the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign failure under caretaker boss Austine Eguavoen.
The former Venezuela gaffer, however thanked the Nigerian Government and the Nigeria Football Federation for the opportunity to tinker the Super Eagles, and said he is fully committed to the objective of winning the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire next year summer.
“I have always loved the Nigeria team, ever since I watched them play at the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the United States.“
“It is a team with solid pedigree. Presently, we have both quality and quantity of players and it is always a good situation for any team.” Peseiro said.
Peseiro on Thursday, will lead the team out at home for the first time since his appointment.
The three time African Champions will host Sierra Leone in 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
