In anticipation of their World Cup qualification campaign, Super Eagles’ Head Coach, Jose Peseiro, is leaving no stone unturned.
On Sunday, Peseiro arrived in Uyo, where the team will host Lesotho for the 2026 FIFA qualifiers opener.
He was accompanied by his foreign assistants: Maykel Moreira, Acacio Santos, and Vitor Hugo.
The three-time African Champions are set to kick-start their journey with a home game against Lesotho , before traveling to Rwanda to face Zimbabwe.
The Super Eagles’ camp for the upcoming match is scheduled to open today, Monday, with invited 23 players expected to start to arriving any moment from now.
However, Peseiro will have to make do without key players such as Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, and Wilfred Ndidi for these crucial games.
Despite the injuries problems, three-time African champions are the favorites against Lesotho at the Nest of Champions in Uyo on Thursday.
With their sights firmly set on qualification, the Super Eagles are determined to make amends for their absence in the last edition of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where they narrowly lost out to the Black Stars of Ghana.
