Super Eagles defender William Troost Ekong only lasted for thirty minutes on his return from injury.
Ekong featured in Watford’s pre-season friendly against Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday.
He started the game and was substituted after 30 minutes of action. He looked a shadow of himself and was replaced by Mattie William Pollock.
Meanwhile, Ekong’s compatriots Maduka Okoye and Samuel Kalu also featured in the warm up game played at the Hornets’ London Colney on Wednesday’s afternoon.
Kalu was introduced in the 62nd for Portuguese João Pedro forward, while Maduka Okoye came on for Daniel Bachman.
The game eventually ended 2-0 in favor of Bolton Wanderers, thanks to first half strikes from Oladapo Afolayan and Kieran Lee.
