CB William Troost-Ekong is on the verge of joining Saudi Arabian club Al-Kholood.

The 30-year-old arrived in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, poised to finalize the move, with contract signing expected imminently.

Ekong is set to depart Greek club PAOK FC, where he recently won the 2023/2024 Greek Super League title, for Al-Kholood ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Both clubs have agreed on a transfer fee, and personal terms have already been settled.

The only step remaining is for the Nigeria international to complete his medicals.

Last week, the Nigerian CB and his agent David Moss, finalized personal terms with the Saudi side, according to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Romano confirmed the news on X, stating, “William Troost-Ekong and his agent David Moss are on their way to Saudi Arabia as he’s signing for Al-Kholood.”

Shabab Al-Ahli had been leading the race to sign the former Watford defender but were ultimately beaten by Al-Kholood, who secured the Nigerian star’s signature.
