Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has firmly refuted any engagement with Zamalek regarding their vacant coaching position.
Reports from an Egyptian sports website, Kooora, suggested that Peseiro was among the coaches who applied for the position following the dismissal of Juan Carlos Osorio due to unsatisfactory team performance.
Despite the buzz surrounding his potential move, the 63-year-old coach, asserted his commitment to his current role with Nigeria Football Federation, during in an interview with btolat.com.
“At the present, all my focus is on the Nigerian national team only,” he said.
“There are no negotiations from Zamalek in any case and I am not thinking about anything else.”
Peseiro has a contract with Nigeria Football Federation till after the next African Cup of Nations.
