The Super Eagles camp in Uyo has received a boost ahead of the September 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.
Nine additional players checked in on Tuesday to step up preparations for the crucial fixtures.
The latest arrivals include Fulham duo Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Ola Aina, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Moses Simon, Chidozie Awaziem, Adebayo Adeleye, and Benjamin Fredericks.
Notably, Osayi-Samuel, Simon, Awaziem, Adeleye, and Fredericks all secured moves to new clubs during the summer transfer window and will be looking to carry their fresh momentum into international duty.
They join William Troost-Ekong, Amas Obasogie, Felix Agu, and Raphael Onyedika, who reported to camp on Monday.
The squad is expected to reach full strength in the coming days, allowing the coaching crew to fine-tune tactics on the training ground.
Key figures such as Iwobi and Simon are expected to provide creativity and width in attack, while Bassey and Troost-Ekong will offer stability at the back.
Eric Chelle’s side will host Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo before travelling to South Africa for a decisive clash at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein.
