Sami Trabelsi, Tunisia head coach, has unveiled his squad list for AFCON 2025, with two influential stars making their return Hannibal Mejbri of Burnley and Ellyes Skhiri of Eintracht Frankfurt.
Their inclusion brings experience and much needed creativity back into the Carthage Eagles midfield.

Coach Trabelsi heads into the tournament aiming to deliver Tunisia’s first AFCON title since their historic triumph in 2004.
Tunisia are in Group C, where they will face Nigeria, Uganda, and Tanzania.

The Carthage Eagles begin their campaign against Uganda on 23 December, before a high stakes encounter against Nigeria on 27 December.
Since 2004, Tunisia and Nigeria have met eight times, with each side winning once and the remaining fixtures ending in draws.
Their last meeting was in the AFCON 2021 Round of 16, where Tunisia claimed a 1–0 victory.
The upcoming clash is expected to play a decisive role in determining the group leader.
Tunisia will conclude their group stage fixtures on 30 December against Tanzania.
