Super Eagles arrives Cape Verde for the battle against the Blue Sharks

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have arrived Cape Verde for their second FIFA World Cup qualifying game.

The Gernot Rohr tutored side touched down in Amilcar Cabral International airport, Cabo Verde, this morning ahead of their second Group C match slated for Tuesday.

The team departed their base in Lagos for Cape Verde around 5am Nigerian time via a chartered flight via Air Peace Airline.

Nigeria will tackle the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde at the Estadio Municipal Aderito Sena, Mindelo on Tuesday evening.

The team is expected to have their first training session this evening as they gear up towards the important battle.

In the match day one, Nigeria defeated Lone Stars of Liberia 2-0 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, while Cape Verde were forced to a 1-1 draw by Central African Republic in Ndoula.

The match between Nigeria and Cape Verde will be played behind closed doors,due to Covid-19.
