Fresh off his goal scoring debut for Nigeria in the international friendly against Ukraine on Tuesday,Joe Aribo returned to Rangers and put in a good shift to help The Gers bounce back to winning ways.
Rangers lost their first and only game this season in the Scottish Premier League, falling 2-0 to Celtics in the Old firm derby on the weekend of the international break- Aribo played 70 minutes.
On Saturday, the midfielder got 75 minutes and also provided an assist as Steven Gerrard’s men cruised to an easy 3-1 victory over Livingston.
A barren first-half was bad, but going behind two minutes after the restart triggered a response from the home side.
🗣️”I think the penalty incident certainly provoked us into our best and from the 50/51st minute, I thought we were excellent and really looked dangerous every time we went forward.”

Rangers’ third will come from Brandon Barker on his Ibrox debut, with the assist from a player of Nigerian descent, Sheyi ojo.
The win takes Gerrard’s men to just 3 points behind top of table Celtic, who have five wins in five games so far this season.
