Sunshine Stars of Akure produced a spirited second forty-five minutes to beat Akwa United 1-0 in one of the match day six of the Nigeria professional football league at the Akure Township Stadium on Sunday.

Akwa United will make a return to Uyo nursing the pain and with the future of John Obuh and Duke Udi hanging on a thread.
