Former Super Eagles Coach, Samson Siasia has called on the National team handlers to fix the Left back issue in Eagles defence in time before the World Cup.
Speaking in a chat with www.brila.net’s Pius Idoko yesterday, Siasia advised that the issue of the left back position of the national team needs to be fixed before the world cup gets underway.
The former Under-20 World Cup gaffer called on the national team handlers to build more confidence on Elderson Uwa Echiejile to get back to his playing ways.
“Echiejile remain the only experienced and natural left back we have in the National team,” Siasia told www.brila.net.
“My opinion is the Coaches and trainers should work more on building his confidence or to get someone else that will play in that position,”
Echiejile is one of the few veterans of the 2013 Nations Cup still standing, some Nigeria fans aren’t convinced that left-back Elderson is the best option for the Super Eagles.
