Former MFM FC forward Stephen Odey scored twice for his new Belgian club, KRC Genk as they thrashed Bregel Sport 10 – 1 in a friendly encounter on Wednesday.
Odey who recently joined the Belgian side came on as a second-half substitute scored Genk’s sixth and seventh goal respectively.
The former MFM forward, however, told the media, he is happy to get on a flying start with his new side.
“It was good for me to score in my debut match for the club even though it was a friendly game.
“I believe It will give me more confidence going forward and also help show the team that they can trust me. Overall, I will say I’m happy with the performance and will keep pushing for more,” Odey said.
The 21 years old signed four years contract with the Belgian champions Genk from Swiss Super League side in a deal that worth €3.5M.
