A first-half strike from Jordel Dossu handed the Squirrels of Benin the victory at the Stade Charles de Gaulle in Porto-Novo.

The odd goal victory means that Michel Dussuyer’s side will consolidate their place in second spot in the standings, but tied on three points with leader Nigeria.
Nigeria won their opening game of the qualifiers, 2-1, against Benin and have the chance to go three points clear when they face Lesotho, in Maseru on Sunday.
