Luciano Spalletti said Napoli will make official statement on why Victor Osimhenn will miss important game against Atalanta this Sunday.
Italian press reported that Osimhen would be returning to Naples from international duty a little later than the rest of the squad.
The striker took part in Super Eagles unsuccessful World Cup qualification playoff against Ghana last Tuesday and wasn’t included in Napoli’s trip to Bergamo.
Speaking ahead of the trip to Atlanta, Spalletti who was unhappy with the treatment of the striker by the media, said the club will make official statement on why Osimhen was permitted to stay for few more days in Nigeria.
“Today I’m happy that you’re giving us a big space in the Gazzetta, even a mention on the front page. Covid, capital gains, Alemao, Osimhen and the locker room against each other.
“Even talking about the match would have given you a complete picture! You have to be careful to play the three-card game with the fans, who can easily find you out. The club will talk about Osimhen tomorrow, to clarify, it’s very simple.” he said.
