The Two-month old reign of Finidi George as Super Eagles head coach will be tested greatly when he leads his side out today, against South Africa, in their FIFA World Cup Qualifying match in Uyo.

Despite the home advantage, this game has all the trappings of an audition for Finidi’s future on the job, and his former teammate, Edema Fuludu hopes the gaffer comes through unscathed.

Speaking ahead of the fixture Fuludu told Brila.net that drumming support for the Coach and his team should be paramount.

He argued that the wave and quick succession of events leading to the appointment and magnitude of his first competitive game in charge, leaves very little room for any errors.

History is not so kind to past Super Eagles coaches who slip up in games of this nature, Fuludu recalls and urged Finidi to manage the pressure as best as he can.
