Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Nigerian forward Odion Ighalo will be in the squad for the clash against Chelsea on Monday night.
Ighalo was excluded from the club’s warm-weather training camp due to travel restriction concerns, but has been working back in Manchester to keep himself ready for action.
But despite missing the trip to winter training camp Marbella, Solskjaer has now confirmed the 2019 Afcon goal king will be in the squad for the Chelsea after the winter break.
“Yeah, he is going to travel with us,” he told club media.
“We will just see his fitness work this week and I think we will get him sharp.
“We want to integrate him as quickly as we can because, of course, he is desperate to play for us.”
Ighalo fulfilled his childhood dream when he joined the former English champions on a six month loan deal from China on transfer deadline day.
