Former Nigeria international Sam Sodje has defended the decision and choice of Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze to opt for England over Nigeria after accepting Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions call to join up with England, ending long drawn speculation he could represent Nigeria.Â
Sodje speaking in a chat with brila.net said Eze’s decision was that of the player choosing a country, people and structure he knows more to that of struggling to connect with his ancestral route on the basis of his parents alone.
