Super Eagles forward Peter Olayinka bid goodbye to Slavia Prague after five years with the club.
Olayinka played his last game for the red and white against Slovácko on Saturday.
In the post-match interview, he recalled the past years, describing it as emotional moment.
“Emotions run with me. I was nervous before the match, but now I’m relieved. I’m happy, everything turned out well.”
“I thank God for the opportunity to be here and achieve all the successes. I am very grateful to everyone. To fans, teammates, management, coaches and other employees.
“A big thank you goes mainly to the fans. I wish them only the best and I know for sure that the next season will be successful for them. Hundred percent.”
Olayinka was substituted in the second, before he then passed on a penalty chance to his close friend Václav Jureček.
The Nigerian forward was presented with a special trophy “Olayincup” as a sign of appreciation for everything he did for the club.
