Nigerian forward Moses Simon netted a brace to help Nantes secure a point away to RC Lens in the French Ligue one clash.
The Nigerian international who assisted a goal in the 5-3 win over Girondins Bordeaux last week opened the scoring in the 8th minute.
He completed his brace two minutes after the hour mark to usher the Canaries into a half-time lead.
He has now contributed 14 goals (6 goals and 8) in 29 domestic league games for Antoine Komboaure’s side.
He has now surpassed his tally of 6 goals and 5 assists of last season and 5 goals and 5 assists he recorded in the 2019-2020 campaign.
However, a poor second half from Nantes saw their hosts come from behind to snatch a draw.
David Coast reduces the deficit for Lens in the 61s minute, before Arnaud Kalimuendo-Muinga completed the comeback with nine minutes left on the clock.
Next for Simon and his teammates, is the French Cup final against OGC Nice on Saturday, 7th of May.
