NPFL side Shooting Stars of Ibadan are in advance talks with striker Sikiru Alimi to join the team ahead of next season.

Alimi is a free agent and and has held talks with several teams in the domestic league, but Shooting Stars seem to be leading the race for his signature.

Brila.net understands that Shooting Stars coach Gbenga Ogunbote is a fan of striker and has called the striker, in order to speed up negotiation.

The pair have previously worked together at Lobi Stars and more recently at Remo Stars, where they finsihed third in the league.

Alimi joined Ogunbote at Remo Stars for the second stanza of last season, scoring nine goals in fifteen games.

At the end of last season, both left Remo, with Alimi moving to the Libyan side AS Darnes, but things didn’t work out.
