Sierra Leone stars ready for Important Match Against Nigeria – Keister

Sierra Leone head coach, John Keister said his side will be ready for the upcoming CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Nigeria.

The Leone stars will host the second-leg of the qualifiers against Nigeria’s Super Eagles in the matchday five tie of the qualifiers at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium, Monrovia on Sunday, June 18.

While the Super Eagles need just a point to seal their passage to the tournament proper, while Leone stars must win to stay in contention for a ticket.

“We are going to go there to compete. We are not going to go there and lie down,” Keister said.

“I don’t really need to let the players understand the significance of this game.

“I think the players themselves should understand that. They should relish the challenge of coming up against Nigerian players who are doing well overseas,” Keister told the official website of the Sierra Leone Football Federation.

Sierra Leone are currently third in the group, five points adrift the Nigeria and two points behind second place Guinea Bissau.
