Former Coach Samson Siasia has vehemently denied the bribery allegation leveled against him by Dickson Nwakaeme who claimed he was dropped from the Dream Team VI squad because he failed to offer bribes.
According to the Malaysia-based footballer in a tweet responding to allegations made by Bayern star David Alaba said that Siasia asked him for money for him to feature in the Beijing 2008 Olympics football tournament.
Meanwhile, Siasia in an interview with brila.net has come out to debunk the accusation made against him over making bribe requests from players.”
“Well I don’t know who the player is, I can’t even remember his name and he has not been to my camp before, I think he is just trying to make a name for himself ” he said.
“I have not taken money from anyone, I want him to come out and tell me when I took the money and when he actually came into the camp because I don’t like people spoiling my name all have done for this country is to make a platform for this boys to show themselves and have a better future ahead with my own money so I need to get the bottom of this”.
“I won’t take it likely with him, he would come out and tell the world how I took money from him in camp because I know I have not done anything wrong and have never taken anything from anyone before, I’m even looking for his contact so he comes and clear the word” he concluded.
Samson Siasia was a former Nigeria football striker and head coach of the Nigerian Men’s National football team from 2010 to October 2011. And was re-appointed in 2016.
