Shooting Stars boss Edith Agoye has challenged his players to adapt to the Nigeria Professional football league quickly.

Shooting Stars are playing in the top flight for the first time in 2021-2022 campaign after spending few years in the Nigeria National League ( NNL).

Edith Agoye’s tutored side started their campaign with a goalless draw against Gombe United at the Pantami Stadium on Sunday.

Next for the Oluyole Warriors is crunch battle against the league defending champions Akwa United in Ibadan next next weekend.

Speaking ahead of the game, Agoye said, his boys have to adapt to the league  quickly and in order to get good results, starting with their first home game of campaign against Kennedy Boboye’s Akwa United.

“First and foremost we need to adapt back into the NPFL and taking a point against Gombe United is a step in the right direction.

“We are going home to face Akwa United, we will do our best to take 3 points so that gradually our team can evolve and stabilise,” he said.
