Seyi Olofinjana backs Super Eagles for 2019 AFCON Glory

Ex-International, Seyi Olofinjana has backed Nigeria for success in the forthcoming 2019 African Cup of Nations holding in Egypt.

The former Wolves, Stoke City, and Hull City midfielder is tipping the Super Eagles under Coach Gernot Rohr for a glorious outing in Egypt.

“I’ve been to a few Cup of Nations and after watching the players at the World Cup, I think the Eagles can do well in Egypt,” Olofinjana told brila.net.

“I think the country should be looking at perhaps doing more this time, only that it is always difficult playing against the Northern Africans.

“Slightly, the Northern National teams are a bit tactical, they try to run, they try to create space and all…

“But we also dwell on their weakness too, If the sun comes out and we always try to use that chance to get our goals.

Meanwhile, We have a coach who knows how to bring everybody together, and the boys we’ve got have a bit of experience – players like (captain) John Mikel Obi, and Ahmed Musa.

“They can bring the younger ones with them so that we do not just to go the tournament to enjoy it but to push ourselves to the next level,” he concluded.
