The Seychelles national football team on Tuesday held the Bafana Bafana of South Africa to a goalless draw on Tuesday in an AFCON 2019 Qualifier.
Bafana Bafana and Seychelles went into the halftime break level pegging after an uninspiring first half in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Bafana were hoping to continue from their weekend hammering of the Islanders but struggled to get off the mark early on.
After a few half-chances, Bafana couldn’t penetrate the defense effectively as just the other day. With few chances, the only shot on goal was a horrid attempt by Miguel Horeau on 18 minutes.
Bafana’s first-half opportunity arrived close to 30 minutes when Percy Tau’s cross-cum-shot was flicked away by goalkeeper Jerome Dingwall.
The path to goal was proving more complicated than in the first encounter, with the efforts from Dino Ndlovu and Kamohelo Mokotjo among others deflected wide of the mark.
As the half drew to a close, Ndlovu rose for a cross but failed to keep the effort on target with Dingwall rushing off his line to narrow the angle as the sides went into the break goalless.
