Spanish side, Sevilla have reached an agreement with Nigerian international Chidera Ejuke.
The 26-year-old forward officially joined the Spanish club following his medical examination on Monday, June 17.
Ejuke signed a three-year contract with the La Liga side.
Sevilla, seven-time UEFA Europa League champions, are keen on strengthening their squad after finishing 14th in La Liga last season and in a move to bolster their attacking options, they have added the Nigerian winger to their books ahead of the upcoming season.
Ejuke drew Sevilla’s attention with his impressive loan performance at Royal Antwerp last season, where he netted five goals and provided six assists across all competitions.
With his contract at CSKA Moscow now expired, Ejuke joins Sevilla as a free agent, further sweetening the deal for the Spanish club.
The Nigerian forward has a notable career trajectory, having spent four years at CSKA Moscow, including loan spells with Hertha Berlin and Royal Antwerp in the past two seasons.
His skills and versatility were evident during his time in Belgium, prompting Sevilla to secure his services.
Ejuke’s football journey has seen him don the jerseys of various clubs including Supreme Court FC, Gombe United, Vålerenga, and Heerenveen before his stint with CSKA Moscow.
His international experience includes being a part of the Super Eagles squad at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
