The Nigerian women’s bobsled team made history by qualifying for the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, scheduled to take place in February. The team is the first bobsled team from Africa to ever qualify.
The story may sound similar to the plot of the classic Disney movie Cool Runnings, about the formation of Jamaica’s first bobsled team. Only this time, it’s the real deal.
