Senegalese international Cheikhou Kouyate is optimistic that Eberechi Eze will soon find his feet in the Premier League.
Eze made his first league start for the Eagles in their 2 – 1 defeat to Everton at the Selhurst Park Stadium on Saturday.
Eze has now made three leagues and one cup appearance for the Roy Hodgson’s tutored but he’s yet to score or assist any goal.
The 22-year-old was expected to be one of the creative elements for Palace, but he struggled to impose himself in the game and he was replaced by Belgium forward Michy Batshuayi.
Kouyate who scored Palace’s only goal of the game has now backed the 22-year-old to discover his form quickly and helped the club this season.
”This kid is so special,” Kouyate told the club website.
“Now we need to give him a little bit of time.
“The Premier League are going to enjoy him because he has a good mentality, he plays well and we are happy to have this boy here.”
Eze joined Crystal Palace in a 16milion pounds deal from Queens Park Rangers back in July.
