West Brom defender, Semi Ajayi is facing uncertainty regarding his participation in Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
Ajayi was absent as West Brom defeated Queens Park Rangers 2-0 on Tuesday night.
West Brom’s manager, Carlos Corberan, revealed that Ajayi is currently recovering from an ankle injury.
“It’s challenging to deal with a situation where we have several injuries,” said Corberan.
“Semi Ajayi suffered the same ankle injury as before during the last ten minutes of the Plymouth game.”
The Super Eagles are set to play against Lesotho at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, November 17, and then face Zimbabwe’s Warriors three days later at the Amarhoro Stadium in Kigali.
It is uncertain if the defender will be ready for the games.
