Former Eredivisie champions, Ajax Amsterdam, have confirmed the signing of Chuba Akpom from Middlesbrough.

Ajax announced the Player’s acquisition, Wednesday, after reaching agreement with Middlesbrough for the forward.

The transfer is around €12.3m which could rise to about €14.3 million through variables.​

The 27-year-old Brit signed a contract that will run until June 30, 2028 and has been given number 10 jersey.

He was born on October 9, 1995, in London started his football journey at youth academy of Arsenal, where he also made his debut in professional football.

The right-footed player went on loan to several English clubs before transferring to the Greek PAOK FC in 2018.

In his first interview with the club, Akpom described his new team as a juggernaut in European football and is keen on making history.

“I’m happy to sign, definitely. Ajax is a top club with lots of history. It didn’t take long for me to decide. A special club, and I’m happy to be here,” the Forward quipped.

“It was a pretty fast deal. There were some other clubs as well, but as soon as Ajax came, I had my mind sorted.

“I can’t wait to show what I can do.”
