Portuguese Champions FC Porto have provided update on Zaidu latest injury.

Sanusi was substituted in the second half of Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.

The left back, according to the club, injured a muscle in his adductor and will undergo further medical examination.

“Zaidu, who left supported by his teammates in the 53rd minute of the game against Atlético de Madrid, having replaced Wendell, presented muscle complaints in the left adductor and will be evaluated by the clinical department,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.

Despite losing the Nigeria international to injury, FC Porto managed to see off Atletico 2-1 and seal top spot in the Group.

Zaidu however could miss Porto’s league clash against Pacos de Ferreira this weekend.
