Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze stood out as the only bright spot in AC Milan’s 2-0 defeat to Napoli on Tuesday.
The Nigerian winger, given a starting role, made a strong impact despite Milan’s loss in the Serie A clash.
Chukwueze played the full 90 minutes, forcing Napoli’s goalkeeper Alex Meret into a fine save during the first half.
In the second half, Chukwueze delivered a superb cross into Napoli’s box that Alvaro Morata headed into the net. However, the goal was disallowed due to offside.
Napoli took the lead in the fifth minute when Romelu Lukaku capitalized on a well-timed pass from Zambo Anguissa.
They doubled their advantage just before halftime, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scoring from a precise shot outside the box.
Napoli, the league leaders have now won five consecutive games.
