samson Siasia Returns to Coaching; Confirms Mighty Jets Offer on the Table

Former Super Eagles striker and coach Samson Siasia has confirmed receiving an offer from Mighty Jets FC of Jos as he prepares to return to the football scene after completing a five-year ban imposed by FIFA.

Initially handed a lifetime ban by FIFA, Siasia’s punishment was reduced to five years after a successful appeal in court. Now, with the ban behind him, he is eager to reignite his coaching career.

At a world press conference in Abuja, organized by his friends, Siasia expressed deep gratitude to those who stood by him during his trying times, including notable figures like Chief Segun Odegbami, Governor Douye Diri, and Minister of FCT Nyesom Wike.

“Five years have come and gone, and now it’s time to hit the ground running. I’m ready to start anew,” Samson Siasia said.

“I’ve received a few offers, including from abroad, but nothing concrete yet.

I recently had discussions with Ferdinand Mbum, General Manager of Mighty Jets, and visited Plateau State to watch a preseason tournament. I was supposed to meet with the governor, but he was in Abuja. We’ll see how things turn out.”

Siasia also paid special tribute to those who supported him during his ordeal: “I can’t thank Chief Segun Odegbami enough for his support. He was the first person to call me, asking how he could help, and he provided all the assistance he could.“

The Nigerian football community is eagerly anticipating Siasia’s return to coaching. The offer from Mighty Jets presents a prime opportunity for him to re-establish himself in Nigerian football and make a significant impact on the domestic level.
