Coach Kennedy Boboye will miss the services of defender Samson Gbadebo for the match day 27 encounter with Kano Pillars.

Gbadebo recently returned to training but sources said the game against Kano Pillars is coming too soon for him.

Gbadebo missed games against Wikki Tourists and Heartland and he will also play no part in the top of the table clash with Kano Pillars on Sunday.

As of now, Gbadebo has been training, but the coach Kennedy Boboye expects him to be ready for Adamawa United at the Nest of Champions next week.

Akwa United will be hoping to avoid defeat in Kano without one of the most trusted defenders. The Promise Keepers are on top of the NPFL log with 49 points from 26 games.
