Former Nigeria international, Sam Sodje has criticized the NFF over the caliber of friendly matches arranged for the Super Eagles following their recent Nations Cup campaign.
Speaking to Brila.net, Sodje expressed frustration over the decision to line up friendly games against Jordan and Iran during the current international window.
He questioned whether the fixtures truly match Nigeria’s level and ambitions.
“I feel sorry for Nigerian fans, I don’t only feel sorry for them but for myself it shows you that’s where we are.
“What is the reason for playing Jordan there must be a reason? Do we have an opponent or competition that a team like Jordan is playing? What is the reason?

“I can’t say anything because I am not the Nigerian Football Federation it’s not about criticizing but we have to be honest with ourselves, do they really know what they are doing?
“It’s a shame and I hope one day we will get it right.”
Sodje, who made five appearances for Nigeria has been a consistent critic of the federation’s handling of football matters in the country.
