The new World Cup qualification format poses major logistic challenges and the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) must start planning for the marathon qualifiers in earnest according to President of FIBA Africa Zone 3, Sam Ahmedu.
Reacting to Sunday’s 2019 FIBA World Cup qualification draw in Guangzhou, Ahmedu urged the NBBF to set the machinery for the qualifiers rolling.

In a chat with brila.net, the FIBA Zone 3 Boss said the new qualification format will require proper organisation and execution than the Federations on the continent were used to in the past.
