In a UEFA Champions League match-up against Paris St Germain, Nigerian forward Sadiq Umar showcased promise despite Real Sociedad’s 2-0 defeat at Parc des Princes.
Sadiq, initially named among the substitutes for the round of 16 second leg encounter, entered the game with eleven minutes remaining in regulation time.
Despite his brief cameo appearance, the lanky forward managed to trouble the Parisian defense with his aerial threat.
Following the match, BBC Sports awarded Umar a rating of 6.8, acknowledging his impact on the game despite the team’s overall loss.
Notably, Umar Sadiq is yet to find the back of the net in this season’s Champions League, having played in four matches thus far.
